We are so excited to be given the opportunity to host the Bradford Bears Summer Camp and look forward to hearing the sounds of our children learning, laughing and having fun again this summer!
This year our summer camp will be held in the Annex building and will be open to students currently enrolled in K through 5th grade. PreK4 students who will be attending PS16 for Kindergarten in September 2024 are also welcome at our camp. However, we do have a limited number of spaces for PreK4 students. The weekly camp option is not available to PREK4 students at this time. Any child, grades 1-5, who has enrolled to begin PS16 in September 2024 is also eligible to attend camp.
The Bradford Bears Summer Program offers an excellent fusion of fun and learning, physical exercise, creative projects, and more. Diverse learning activities will ensure children do not experience summer learning loss while enjoying summer fun and learning new things. The program is designed to help kids get ready for the next grade level through play-based learning and without the formal structure of a classroom. Music, art, drama are incorporated into math and language arts. Children participate in fun science experiments as well as games, crochet and gardening. Creative movement as well as yoga and meditation will also be explored. Weather permitting children will spend time outside playing games that will help encourage movement and coordination. Activities will include basketball, tee ball, kickball, bouncing balls and cart races and more. This summer we will also be enjoying field trips!!
Camp begins Wednesday June 26th (pending no further snow days!) and ends Friday July 26th
Enrichment Camp Options:
- 8:30am – 12:30am Half Day Camp: $990 (increases to $1090 after April 30th)
- 8:30am – 2:30pm Full Day Camp: $1250 (increases to $1350 after April 30th)
- 2:30pm – 5:30pm Aftercare: $900
Weekly Options:
- Week 1– (June 26 – June 28) Half Day $200. Full Day $280
- Week 2– (July 1-3 & July 5) Half Day $240. Full Day $320
- Week 3– (July 8 – July 12) Half Day $300. Full Day $400
- Week 4– (July 15 – July 19) Half Day $300. Full Day $400
- Week 5- (July 22 – July 26) Half Day $300. Full Day $400
- Weekly prices will increase by $30 post April 30th
- All activities administered by certified & highly skilled PS16 teachers & staff.
- Students with SPECIAL NEEDS (IEP, 504 and other) and ESL students welcome (our staff is trained and certified in the above-mentioned areas). Please contact abigger@jcboe.org to ensure that your childs needs can be met prior to registering.
- NURSE is available full-time for entire camp duration.
- Monday through Thursday please pack lunch, snack, and water bottle for your child
- Fridays are PIZZA FRIDAYS!! All campers will enjoy free pizza together!
- Fun FIELD TRIPS!!
- Camp T-shirt provided
