We are so excited to be given the opportunity to host the Bradford Bears Summer Camp and look forward to hearing the sounds of our children learning, laughing and having fun again this summer!
This year our summer camp will be held from June 30 in the Main building and will be open to students currently enrolled in K through 5th grade at PS 16. PreK4 students who will be attending PS16 for Kindergarten in September 2025 are also welcome at our camp. However, we do have a limited number of spaces for PreK4 students. PreK4 students only have the full day camp opportunity. For new students enrolled in P.S. 16, the enrollment should be completed by June 15, 2025 to be eligible to attend camp. No exceptions.
The Bradford Bears Summer Program offers an excellent fusion of fun and learning, physical exercise, creative projects, and more. Diverse learning activities will ensure children do not experience summer learning loss while enjoying summer fun and learning new things. The program is designed to help kids get ready for the next grade level through play-based learning and without the formal structure of a classroom. Music, art, drama are incorporated into math and language arts. Children participate in fun science experiments. Creative movement as well as yoga and meditation will also be explored. Weather permitting children will spend time outside playing games that will help encourage movement and coordination. Activities will include basketball, tee ball, kickball, bouncing balls and cart races and more. This summer we will also be enjoying field trips!!
Camp begins Monday, June 30 and ends Friday, July 25. No camp July 4.
Camp Dates:
- Week 1 : June 30 – July 3 (No classes July 4)
- Week 2 : July 7 – July 11
- Week 3 : July 14 – July 18
- Week 4 : July 21 – July 25
Enrichment Camp Options and Cost :
- Full Day Camp (8:30 am – 2:30 pm) : $1,350 Full 4 weeks
- Aftercare Camp (2:30 pm – 5:30 pm) : $900 Full 4 weeks
- All activities are administered by certified PS 16 teachers and staff
- Students with IEP, 504, ESL please contact us prior to registration to ensure we can accommodate your child’s needs
- Nurse is available full time during Day camp (not during Aftercare)
- Camp cost includes: Pizza Friday, Field Trips and Camp T-shirt
- Campers will be expected to bring their own lunch, snack and water bottle for Day and Aftercare camp.
- Camp T-shirt must be worn on Field trips. No exceptions.
- No sibling discount available

- Weekly options may become available post April 10th depending on availability
What are the dates of the camp? Camp runs weekdays from Monday June 30 to Friday, July 25. No camp on Friday, July 4.
Who can register? All current PS16 students as well as students who have registered to begin in September 2025. (Enrollment should be completed by June 15, 2025).
Can PreK students attend camp? We currently have openings for 15 PreK4 students who will be attending PS16 in September 2025. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept PreK3 students.
PreK4 Registration is showing as “Out of Stock”. What does this mean? All available spaces for PreK4 kids filled at the speed of light. We are keeping a waitlist. If you wish to be added please email ps16cpa@gmail.com.
I really need my PreK kid to attend camp with their older sibling. We understand the importance and convenience of siblings attending the same camp and we will do our best to make magic happen!
Do I need to pay the full amount when registering? Yes the entire payment is necessary to reserve a spot and for us to start planning Summer Camp.
Can I get a refund if i change my mind? No Refund. However, if there is an emergency please contact the CPA and we will refund you minus the Paypal fee once necessary documentation is provided (e.g Flight ticket / transfer to another state)
Is there a sibling discount? There is no sibling discount.
Do you provide lunch? Only on Pizza Fridays! Every other day students should bring lunch, snack and water bottle.
Is Camp Nut Free? We are indeed a NUT FREE camp. We just want to have fun so can’t take the risk of an unknown nut allergy among our campers or staff.
How do you handle allergies? .Prior to camp beginning parents will be asked to complete paperwork with important information. Our Nurse ensures that every adult who will be in contact with your child will be aware of any allergies/health conditions.
Will there be field trips? Absolutely! Field trips are the highlight of our camp!
Where will camp be held? Our PS 16 Main building, located at 96 Sussex Street.
Will my kid have to wear uniform? For field trips we require that all staff and campers wear the “Bradford Bears Summer Camp 2025” that we will provide for them. Every other day they should wear comfy shoes and clothes that they don’t mind getting messy. Think paint, glue, tie dye messy!
What is the attendance policy? Kids rarely want to miss a day of camp, but life happens, and we get that. Out of town visitors, surprise tickets to a show, long weekend at the beach – all perfectly good reasons to miss a day at camp. We do ask that you try to let us know ahead of time.
What about “tardy”? Drop off time begins at 8:30. We expect kids to be in school no later than 8:45 am so they don’t miss out on some of the fun activities planned for the day. Kids not in school by 9:30 am without prior notice or reason such as a doctor’s appointment, will not be permitted to attend camp.
Early Pick up? Yes, it’s possible to occasionally pick up your child early but please know they may not want to leave! Early picks up are only permitted prior to 2 pm with prior notice. Once kids are picked up they cannot be dropped back to camp.
Late Pick up? Please be on time to pick up your child at the end of their camp day. We get that sometimes things come up and if they do, please send an email. Pick up time is 2:30 pm — NOT 2:45 like school days. Late Pick up results in a fee of $50 for the first 20 minutes.
