Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Our CPA monthly meeting, being held tonight via Zoom, is normally the kick off to the holiday season at PS16. The tree lightening ceremony and display of the Menorah is typically a festive event with our children and parents enjoying the holiday sing along. COVID, the real "Grinch," has placed a temporary hold on our celebrations and events but it will not hamper the spirit of the festive season within our PS16 community.
Thursday begins the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. We wish all our families who celebrate a very happy and blessed Hanukkah. "May the lights of Hanukkah usher in a better world for all humankind" (Author Unknown)

Much appreciation to everyone who donated to the CPA of PS16 on Giving Tuesday. This year is a very different experience for our students but we are blessed with amazing teachers who are making sure that our kids are supported and succeeding both academically and emotionally. Your donations will help provide our students and teachers with resources and activities. We truly appreciate your support.

Congratulations to fourth grade student Ruhaan Gokhale and second grade student Aisling Kerr on their recognition in the 2020 PATH Holiday Poster Contest. Both students posters were placed in the 'Top 25' and will be displayed in the Journal Square Station over the Holiday Season. We thank Ms. Gordon for continuing to inspire our students with fun and challenging art assignments while we are in virtual learning.
